Holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kansas and Master’s and PhD degrees in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley and Georgian American University, respectively. He has over four decades of international experience in regulatory, strategic, and management roles across the education, energy, infrastructure, transportation, and logistics sectors, with project work spanning more than 40 countries. From 1999 to 2003, he served as Pipeline Adviser to the Government of Georgia for the implementation of the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan Pipeline and the South Caucasus Pipeline. He is the 1st Vice President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Georgia and a member of the Georgian Academy of Natural Sciences. He also serves on the Supervisory Boards of American University Kyiv (Ukraine) and the American University of Technology (Uzbekistan).

Karlo Matitaishvili, MD, is a physician with extensive experience in academic governance, quality assurance, and institutional development. Since 2018, he has served as the Dean of the Medical School at Georgian American University, where he leads the development of academic programs, oversees faculty activities, and manages the strategic direction of the educational process.

He has also held senior leadership positions at New Vision University and its affiliated university hospital, including roles as Chancellor and Head of the Quality Assurance Committee. At various stages of his career, he has served as a visiting lecturer and has been actively involved in the development of higher education programs.

His professional experience also includes the development of educational information and communication systems (ICT) and management information system (MIS) platforms, as well as institutional strategic planning and the management of organizational development processes.

Nata Bajiashvili is an information technology professional with over 23 years of professional and academic experience in information technologies, IT governance, digital transformation, project management, and higher education development.

Since 2023, she has been serving as the Dean of the School of Informatics and Engineering at the Georgian American University (GAU), where she leads the school’s strategic development, oversees the planning and advancement of academic programs, and manages quality assurance, accreditation, internationalization, and international cooperation processes.

Throughout her professional career, she has held leadership and managerial positions in both the public and private sectors. She has extensive experience working with government institutions and the financial sector in managing large-scale information systems, IT portfolios, business process optimization, organizational change management, digital transformation, and IT governance. She has led both national and international projects, collaborated with government agencies, international organizations, and the private sector, and contributed to the planning and implementation of strategically important IT initiatives.

Alongside her academic work, she is actively involved in the development of higher education. Her activities include designing and developing modern academic programs in information technologies, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and IT governance, expanding international partnerships, supporting research activities, and enhancing quality assurance processes.

Nata Bajiashvili is the author of 8 textbooks, 3 monographs, and numerous scientific publications. She participates in local and international educational and research projects and serves as a trainer, speaker, and expert in the fields of information technology and higher education development.
