In the framework of the Book Translation Program financed by the US Embassy in Georgia, Georgian American university will translate and publish the book "PHTLS: Prehospital Trauma Life Support", 9th edition.
The Basic PHTLS concepts are the world standard of pre-hospital care. All Medical/Nursing students and Emergency Medical Service (EMS) providers should be familiar and trained regularly to meet the requirements of a high standard of care and effectiveness outside the hospital. The content of this book is considered as a Continuing Medical Education (CME) source for every first responder and emergency medical care provider.
The PHTLS in the Georgian language will be the “Table Book” of Emergency Medical Service (EMS) workers, who are providing medical care outside the hospital. They can refer to this book anytime to be more prepared for doing their best of knowledge and practices for each victim and/or patient.
It is also very important for every training center operating in Tbilisi or other regions of Georgia to use educational material in the local language.
